UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi helped put the finishing touches on a successful run for the fifth annual Centre Film Festival by presenting a major award during the festival’s closing night awards ceremony.
Bendapudi introduced and honored alumnus Gerry Abrams, who received the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Abrams has crafted a film and television production career that crosses over numerous genres and spans nearly six decades.

The 5th Annual Centre Film Festival (CFF) opens Monday night at The State Theatre and runs through Sunday, Nov. 5. Founded by artistic director and Penn State associate professor Pearl Gluck, and the late professor Curt Chandler, CFF has become the premiere international film festival in central Pennsylvania. The CFF has grown from presenting 18 films four years ago to screening more than 100 films this year.

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Movie lovers are set to gather in Happy Valley for the annual Centre Film Festival.
It runs from Monday, Oct. 30 until Sunday, Nov. 5. The films are being shown in person at different venues like the State Theater and the Rowland Theatre. If you aren’t able to make it in person, you can also stream movies online.
