JuliandraJackson

Juliandra Jackson – Managing Director

I am the founder and creative force behind Color of Thought Creatives, launched during the global pandemic while living in Kingston, Jamaica. What began as freelancing quickly grew into a business within nine months, driven by passion and purpose. My path has been shaped by diverse experiences. I hold a Master’s in Digital and Visual Media from IE School of Business in Madrid, where I specialized in storytelling, campaigns, and brand strategy. A highlight was producing a social good video series to raise awareness for people with disabilities—an example of my belief in using digital media for change. Before my master’s, I worked as a Sports Video Producer and Director at WPSU Penn State, creating sports shows that reached regional audiences and earning an Emmy nomination for Unlocked: Penn State Men’s Basketball at the Palestra vs. MSU. My projects span from drone shoots to volunteering on films addressing racism and human trafficking. Beyond work, I channel my energy into fitness and cycling. I race with the Happy Valley Women’s Cycling Club and direct Get A GRIP, a retreat that inspires growth and purpose. My passion for creativity, wellness, and impact continues to guide my journey

Rob Massung – Technical Support

Movies have always been a big part of my life — from growing up on classics like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Back to the Future to sharing the excitement of Pixar and Marvel films with my wife and our two sons as they were growing up. From the heart of WALL-E and Up to the adventures of The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, my sons developed their own love of movies during those years. I currently work at Penn State (23 years and counting) in software licensing. I’ve found a new way to blend my love of film with my tech background — downloading, converting, and getting movies ready for the festival, while also serving on the board of the historic Rowland Theatre, one of the festival’s venues, helping keep its movie magic alive.

Toya Wigfield – Photographer

I’ve lived in State College my whole life, and it’s where both my passions—strength and storytelling—came to life. I’m a personal trainer, powerlifter, and gym owner who finds just as much beauty in the barbell as I do behind the camera. I’ve been taking photos for years but only recently started sharing them publicly. My photography leans toward street and editorial styles—real, emotional, and a little gritty. I love capturing people as they are: honest moments, quiet strength, and the small details that make life feel big. For me, photography is another way to explore the human experience—just like training, it’s about connection, presence, and art in motion.

My name is Veronica Chan. I’m Chinese, originally born in New York, but I grew up in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. I am very close with many of my family members, and since the majority of them live in New York, I visit nearly every weekend. That caused me to always feel like a city girl stuck in the middle of nowhere. Since I lived in such a small town, there wasn’t much to do for fun, except going to the movie theater or watching TV at home. Nonetheless, It felt like a much needed escape and instilled in me that the world was much larger than it seemed. All of that movie magic made me want to be a part of the storytelling history and joy that the entertainment industry brought. Currently, one of my biggest dreams is to work as a talent agent in Hollywood and travel the world. Additionally, the best thing about me is my willingness to try all sorts of new things and how hard I work to make those new things accomplishments.

JoshH

Josh Harper

I am a sophomore at Penn State main campus. I’m a dual major studying digital art & advertising. As I was growing up in Bucks County, PA, I was always a casual film fan. I would go to the theatre with my family to see the new Star Wars or Disney film and watch movies on my own at home. When I came to Penn State and joined the Student Film Organization & took a class on film in my first semester, I started to become a hardcore film lover. I started watching movies that I never would have engaged with otherwise and it made me fall in love with the art form. I haven’t done a ton of film writing myself at this point, but I do have experience writing for television. Some of my favorite themes to cover in my writing are ideas that are very important to me, such as self-love & belonging.
